Privacy Policy

How Etherion Consulting collects, uses and looks after personal information from this website.

Last updated: September 2026

Who we are

Etherion Consulting (“Etherion”, “we”, “us”) is a professional services practice based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. We help regulated organisations get AI, data and delivery under control.

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through etherionconsulting.com and related enquiries. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Formal client engagements are also covered by the confidentiality and data-handling terms in the relevant contract. Those terms sit alongside this policy. They do not replace it.

Information we collect

We collect personal information when you choose to give it to us, mainly through the contact form and email.

Contact and enquiry details. Name, work email, company, role, subject, and the message you send. We use this to respond to fit-check requests and other enquiries.

Correspondence. Records of emails or calls you have with us about an enquiry or engagement.

Technical data. Standard server and browser information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and device or browser type. We use this to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful.

We do not run a newsletter or marketing list on this site. We do not ask for payment details through the website.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and book fit-check conversations
  • understand whether our services are a fit before any engagement starts
  • operate, secure and improve the website
  • meet legal, accounting or professional obligations

We do not sell personal information. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated advertising.

Who we share it with

Formspree. Contact-form submissions are processed by Formspree so we can receive and store enquiries. Formspree acts as our processor for that purpose.

Service providers. Hosting, email and similar providers may process information on our behalf, only as needed to run the site and our practice.

Legal disclosure. We may disclose information if required by law, a regulator, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We do not share enquiry details with third parties for their own marketing.

Overseas disclosure

Some providers we use, including Formspree, store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting the contact form you acknowledge that your information may be handled in those locations. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle it consistently with this policy and the APPs.

Cookies and local storage

The site may store small pieces of data in your browser so it works as you expect, including:

  • your light or dark theme preference
  • a language preference if you switch languages

These are functional, not advertising cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings. The site will still work, though preferences may reset.

We do not currently run a third-party analytics or advertising pixel on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy.

How long we keep information

Enquiry records are kept for as long as we need them to respond, manage a prospective or actual engagement, or meet legal obligations. We then delete or de-identify them when they are no longer required.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No website transmission is completely secure. Please do not send highly sensitive material through the public contact form.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 you can:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you
  • request a correction if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete
  • ask us how we have used or disclosed it
  • lodge a complaint with us, and if unresolved, with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

To exercise these rights, email info@etherionconsulting.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

This site may link to awards, standards bodies, publications or social profiles. Those destinations have their own privacy practices. Etherion is not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. The current version is always the one published on this page.
